This is a detail from the frieze that encircles the plinth underneath the Lovers in St. Pancras Station. While the giant couple above are forever locked, romantically in each other’s gaze, beneath them worldly concerns break the spell of love.

The Brussels Law Courts are my setting for a secular Last Judgment. Lawyers argue over their respective clients while any reference to Divine Judgment is conspicuously absent.
